There are so many marvelous elements in Vicky Shick's program at Dance Theater Workshop this week that it's tempting simply to list the collaborators, gratefully offer your thanks and call it a night.
The existing white stone buildings are marvelous combinations of Palladian pediments and columns with the steep roofs of the region, finished with fantastic elements such as petrified water flowing out of porthole windows and a chiseled grotto entrance.
The marvelous set is just one element in the most thoughtful, balanced production of The Merchant Of Venice I've seen.
