Both Wnt4 and Wnt5a can increase myofibroblast (S100A4) marker expression, indicating that ATII cells are left without their essential support mechanism (lipofibroblast) (Torday et al., 2003; Rehan & Torday, 2012) during senescence.
Second, mutant StC showed a delayed onset of Eya and of the MA33 enhancer-trap StC marker expression, indicating that TGFβ signalling is required for the expression of both markers (Fig. 3A,B,D,E).
It is not possible to determine from these data whether the loss of marker expression indicates an increase in the death of mature oligodendrocytes or an increase in dysfunction following initial recovery.
This finding, together with the increase in pluripotency marker expression, indicated the adaption of a more primitive phenotype before transdifferentiation. Additionally, we observed that AF-, DAF- and TRAF-MSCs displayed similar clonogenic potential, secretome and proteome profile.

16– 20 Our evaluation of clinicopathological findings and phenotypic mucin marker expression indicates that gastric carcinomas lacking MUC6 expression show deep invasion, frequent lymph node metastasis, high stage, frequent lymphatic and venous invasion, and large tumor size in differentiated-type adenocarcinoma (see Table 1).
Nevertheless marker gene expression indicates that all the appropriate cell types and layers are present.
