A set of 1063 markers comprising of 521 Rice Microsatellite (RM), 139 Genic Non Coding Microsatellite (GNMS), 388 Hypervariable Simple Sequence Repeat (HvSSR) and 15 gene based markers were used for polymorphism survey between Pusa1266 and Jaya.
It has approximately 1,500 mapped DNA markers comprised of approximately 700 mapped unigenes with the remainder amplified fragment length polymorphisms (AFLPs), restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) and simple sequence repeats (SSRs) [ 14].
The sizes of the bands resolved by T-RFLP were determined by comparing their relative position with known size markers, comprised of bands equivalent to 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 bases of single-stranded DNA (microSTEP 15a [700 nm], Microzone, Lewes, UK).
Moreover, the number of markers comprising bins of common frequency (6,894,397 markers with MAF > 0.05) is much lower than the number of markers comprising bins of low frequency (23,178,341 markers with MAF < 0.05), which usually have low imputation quality.
Following plating under non-selective conditions (+URA) survival was still significantly reduced as compared to WT cells containing empty vector, however survival was increased as compared to that under selective conditions indicating that loss of the plasmid selectable marker comprises only part of the observed BRCA1-induced lethality (Fig. 3A).
A test of association between a three marker haplotype comprising of the SNPs rs778293 (M22), rs3918342 (M23) and rs1421292 (M24) and schizophrenia gave a global empirical significance of p = 0.015.
Participants with longer (top tertile) and shorter (bottom tertile) LTL were clearly separated into distinct groups using a multi-marker score comprising of all these metabolites, suggesting that these newly detected metabolites could be novel metabolic markers of biological aging.
On average, per 10% increase in the multi-marker score comprising of all six risk metabolites was associated with 0.94% shorter in LTL (T/S ratio).
Using a multi-marker score comprising of all 19 significant metabolites, we performed sPLS-DA to examine whether these newly identified compounds can discriminate participants with different profiles of biological aging.
Altogether, genotyping data was obtained for a total of 169 markers, comprising 148 gene fragments (of which 139 developed using ICCARE) and 21 microsatellites from the GGA5 genetic map.
