The study physicians assigned each subject a Clinician Global Impression of Severity (CGIS [12]) score of 1 = "normal, not at all ill," 2 = "borderline ill," 3 = "mildly ill," 4 = "moderately ill," 5 = "markedly ill," 6 = "severely ill," or 7 = "among the most extremely ill patients".
Only a total of 118 persons of the sample (32%) were markedly ill or more severely affected as measured on the CGI-S scale, compared with the clinical trial where the majority (84%to9393%) was at least markedly ill.
