In barley, comprehensive sets of several thousands of SNP markers have been successfully developed and mapped in numerous populations (Close et al. 2009; Muñoz-Amatriaín et al. 2011; Comadran et al. 2012).
It has been used for genotyping and genetic mapping of genomes in numerous species, such as Arabidopsis thaliana [ 35], Hordeum vulgare [ 36, 37], Triticum aestivum [ 38, 39], Cajanus cajan [ 40], Sorghum bicolor [ 41] and many others.
After in silico mapping of numerous consensus reads against the Pseudomolecules for Nipponbare, we carried out comprehensive detection of genome-wide SNPs between the two cultivars.
