Using various plausible cropland suitability maps and cellular allocation processes consistent with basic economic theory and broad expectations for changes in climate, technology, population and consumer preferences, we could create several global maps of LULC that might meet such a goal and calculate each projection's impact on ecosystem service and habitat provision.
