What we have here is a sample of theo-con vacuity, the hawking of "traditional moral values and beliefs" without admission that many "traditional" moral values and beliefs in this country in the past were stupid, irrational, and ugly enough to embarrass anyone with an ounce of decency in their psyches.
Many Democratic activists traced the origins of Mr. Gore's rise to his acceptance speech at the convention, in which he staunchly defended many traditional Democratic values, like workers' rights, abortion rights and affirmative action.

Western culture is learning yet again from populations which lagged behind the materialistic taint and preserve many of their traditional values, and such is the case for Eastern countries.
