So it's probably best to stick to ordinary but dependable standards like chocolate cake, cheesecake, mango sorbet or simple vanilla flan.
WHAT WE LIKE Virtually all the tapas; pear, walnut and Cabrales cheese salad; fresh buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad; paella Valenciana; paella with rabbit and snails; pan-seared duck breast; marinated pork loin Andalusian style; suquet of fish and shellfish; orange flan; rice pudding; and mango sorbet.
And mango sorbet holds its own against chocolate flan, tiramisù, almond torta and ricotta cheesecake.
An otherwise fine, silken dulce de leche flan arrived with neither the diced mango nor the crème anglaise that had been advertised.

There were a creamy, tart passionfruit creme brulee, a superb coconut flan with coconut ice cream and caramel sauce, and bright, fresh-tasting sorbets of lime, mango, lychee and pineapple.
