"We are concerned about the number of litigations and investigations which have mounted in the last few years," said Hans-Christoph Hirt, global head of corporate engagement at Hermes Equity Ownership Services, a unit of Hermes Fund Managers that represents several large Deutsche Bank shareholders.
Along with Mr. Aoun, a manager with a company that represents American food giants Dole and Tyson's, victims include two Spanish businessmen, the brother of a local soccer star and a prominent government employee and his fiancée.
"We have to think about biological initiatives and other airborne agents that could make a building uninhabitable," said Gregg A. Popkin, an executive director of Insignia/ESG and manager of the company's group that represents landlords.
Unite CMA, the union that represents the managers, says it is not aware of such complaints.
"Being demanding and destroying an industry to help a group of people at this time isn't the proper thing to do, either," said David Pollack, president of the Committee for Taxi Safety, a group that represents leasing managers.
The new center at Edinburgh "is not about improving the U.K.'s astronomy program--it is simply a way of saving money," asserts Tony Bell, the negotiator for the Institute of Professionals, Managers, and Scientists, an organization that represents many of the observatories' staff.
"They want the literature; they want the pricing," said Lynn Dean, operations manager for the Michela Group, a company that represents several furniture companies.
"It's typical for us to attend approximately 20 shipping incidents a year, and we've been doing this for 50 years," Alex Hunt, a technical manager at the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation, an organization that represents the oil shipping industry, told the Atlantic.
"These two drugs in particular were approved almost 25 years ago," said Mark Merritt, the president of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, a trade group that represents pharmacy benefit managers.
