Sex and practicing in a SCOC were also associated with making high efforts in promoting smoking cessation (Table 2).
However, after controlling for the two confounders, sex and practicing in SCOC, there was no association between physicians' tobacco use and making high efforts in promoting smoking cessation.
The results cannot be generalized because of this information and selection bias, and this bias could be responsible for the lack of association between physicians' tobacco use and making high efforts in promoting smoking cessation during their routine clinical practice.
