The demonstrated therapeutic effect of EGJ and cardiogenin in our animal MI model and enhanced CDE of MSCs in vitro, as well as the similar signaling pathways activated by EGJ and cardiogenin prove that cardiogenin is a major active compound responsible for significant repair of infarcted hearts.
