Whereas previous work has focused on gamma-band activity (GBA) during attention or maintenance of representations, there is little evidence for GBA reflecting individual stimulus representations.
It is worth noting that the retention interval of our tasks might include not only maintenance of representations but also other functions, such as preparation, initialization of the representations, and maintenance of task rules.
Our findings are consistent with the role of the met allele in enhancing the stability and maintenance of representations required for performance on the DMTS task.
