The gating frequency was determined by the threshold search algorithm of ClampFit with the base line set to the main open current state and a threshold just outside the noise level of 15 s current traces at +/−100 mV, respectively.
The gating behavior was characterized by frequent gating from either the main or the fully open state to a sub-conductance state (o-sub) of 185 ± 45 pS and 128 ± 18 pS at +100 and −100 mV, respectively.
