Harvesting and selling of NTFPs are some of the major income generating activities among households living in communities proximate to FGR. Figure 2 shows the main non-timber forest products collected by households from FGR.
Its main trades are forest products, such as paper, pulp and timber, unitised cargo (containers and RoRo) and the import of materials used in the production of aluminium.
The Divisional Forest Officers maintains records of all activities within their jurisdiction including forest products production and trade data.
The main importers of Brazilian forest products are Argentina (paper), Germany (plywood), China (pulp), and United States (panels and sawn wood) [2].
They are clustered into five main categories: media and entertainment, forest products and building materials, retail and restaurants, consumer products, and automotive.

Maps provided by FTM give information on distance to main roads as an indicator of access to markets of forest products.
