The Supplementary Notes show the results of statistical analyses (GLMs) performed on the main experiment data, and detailed results of theoretical analyses (rank correlation specialization and group size, model predictions for larger group sizes, comparison with other specialization metrics, indicators of fitness benefits, and effects of stochastic elements in the model).
