CD8+ T cells were negatively selected from the obtained PBMC fraction by applying the magnetic separation protocol CD8+ T cell isolation kit II (depleting CD4, CD14, CD16, CD19, CD36, CD56, CD123, TCRγ/δ, and CD235a; Miltenyi Biotec, Bergisch Gladbach, Germany) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
