Soil-based foamed concrete consisting of 20% silica fume with a density of 800 kg/m3, compressive strength of 7.5 MPa and thermal conductivity of 0.16 W/m K can be used as water-resistant lightweight concrete.
Concrete, where 15% of cement is replaced with biomass combustion fly ash, has higher density (2360 kg/m3), compressive strength after 28 days (38.3 MPa), ultrasonic pulse velocity (4466 m/s), lower water absorption rate (3.72%) and higher closed porosity (2.54%).
These scaffolds were assessed for (1) pore size, (2) permeability (3) compressive strength and (4) cell viability.
Part three dealt with an intensive experimental program, presenting and commenting more than 2000 compressive strength measurements.
The 28d compressive strength of a mixture of 45% PG, 10% SS, 35% GGBFS and 10% LS exceeded 40 MPa.
The composite admixtures improved the performances of waste forms synthetically: the 7d compressive strength, fluidity and Cs+ leachability index reached to 13.6 MPa, 230.0 mm and 9.36, respectively.
The materials used in the design are C250 for concrete and St52 for steel; the material for the building structure is taken as a reinforced concrete with constant properties of modulus of elasticity E = 2.21 × 106 t/m2, Poisson ratio μ = 0.2, density of concrete = 2.5 t/m3, compressive strength fc = 2,500 t/m2, and yield strength fy = 36,000 t/m2.
Due to a huge number of elements used in multi-storey buildings, only the one-storey building is used in the convergence study for the two plans in Figures 1 and 2. The material properties for concrete are density, (ρ = 2,500 kg/m3), compressive strength (30 MPa), Young's modulus (E = 24 GPa), and Poisson's ratio (ν = 0.2).
