During the past two decades, AAB have attracted strong interests all over the world due to their advantages of low energy cost, appreciable serviceability, and good durability compared to PC concrete (Shi et al. 2006; Davidovits 1988; Smith and Comrie 1988; Davidovits 1991).
Results from both experimental and analytical studies suggest that the footbridge possesses satisfactory serviceability performance under low and dense traffic conditions, but the comfort level under very dense traffic loads was classified as minimum according to the results of the analytical calculations.
This work should find use in the serviceability assessment of low-frequency footbridges in engineering practice.
