The best thing that can be said for "Gaudí Afternoon," which opens today in Manhattan, is that it was shot in Barcelona, and thus offers some lovely glimpses of the city's narrow old streets and the fanciful architecture of Antoni Gaudí, to whom its title (like the title of the novel by Barbara Wilson on which it is based) is a tribute.
