Previous publications have found that MAW is reversible in many patients with timely and appropriate treatment as the development of MAW has been mainly attributed to long-term inactivity, biological changes resulting from aging or disease, and inadequate nutrition, and can be treated with a combination of appropriate exercise, nutrition, and pharmacological treatment.
