I have learned firsthand that some people feel free while behind bars (and use their time in a positive way), yet others feel "locked up" while living in society.
I was intrigued by the connections Ms. Link draws between the at-risk populations she works with and the rest of the population who, as she puts it, "often feel more locked up" while living freely in society than some of the people she has met who spend their days and nights behind bars.
