Here we present results from a high-density ERP study designed to examine the time-course and source location of responses to semantically congruent and incongruent audiovisual speech and body actions to explore whether the network involved in action recognition consists of a hierarchy of sequentially activated processing modules or a network of simultaneously active processing sites.
Our results show that the location of responses to cortical stimulation can fluctuate considerably between trials recurring over short periods of time.
By using a standardized scalp surface map of fNIRS channel locators to stable cortical regions within the frontal and temporal lobes (specific to 4 7 months old; Lloyd-Fox et al. 2014), we have been able to identify the most likely location of responses within the cortex.
The average locations of response categories for the 18 items in section 2 along the disability continuum were analysed.
To test the assumption of RC, we compared the locations of response category thresholds estimated from vignette ratings with the threshold locations estimated from objective measures.
