Four proteins were found in the acidocalcisome proteome and their localization validated by IFA using epitope-tagged proteins: vacuolar H+-ATPase subunits a and d (TbVA a and TbVA d), acid phosphatase (TbAP), and phosphate transporter (TbPho91).
