The remaining $242 million would be paid for by private developers, including the Waterford Group, a local development company.
In the 1970's Jeanne Beaty, who had moved to 130 West 95th from a West End Avenue apartment building, was the head of the block association and soon started a local development company, the West 95th Street Development Corporation.
