The miRBase Targets Release Version v5 (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/enright-srv/microcosm/htdocs/targets/v5/) (i.e., microCosm) provides computationally predicted targets for miRNAs using the miRanda algorithm [25], [26], which uses dynamic programming to search for maximal local complementarity alignments corresponding to a double-stranded anti-parallel duplex.
MiRanda implements a dynamic search programme for maximal local complementarity alignments between the miRNA and the reference sequence and generate scores based on the position-specific empirical models [ 65].
The lists of the potential target genes of the differentially expressed miRNAs were generated using miRBase [ 46] where the miRanda algorithm is used to scan all available mRNA sequences to search for maximal local complementarity alignment between the miRNA and the 3' UTR sequences of putative predicted mRNA targets.

The ability for the transfer of an initiative is highly dependent on the working methods, and it is linked with the issues of applicability (how relevant it is), adaptability (to the local circumstances), and complementarity (to existing policies and strategies).
There is potential in starting new office-wide discussions around local concepts of complementarity (e.g. ngogon dafa, in Bambara).
The modes of hybridization in computer programs were based on the principles of miRNA-target recognition containing the following parameters: complementarity on local base pairs, RNA-RNA double chain free energy, hybridization temperature, conservation of the site, and miRanda score (Bentwich, 2005).
We found that related plant species (mostly grasses) tended to have more divergent AMF communities than distantly related plant species, suggesting that functional complementarity and local coexistence of otherwise ecologically similar grasses may be increased by association with distinct AMF taxa.
For that, some authors tried Smith-Waterman local alignment to detect complementarity, which becomes sharply slower with increment in the number and length of sequences to be searched and more so if all to all search has to be performed without the prior knowledge of the miRNA.

After ten years of supporting the ICC, a multitude of ICC stakeholders have shifted their attention and resources to "complementarity", or helping local jurisdictions investigate, prosecute, defend and adjudicate cases of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.
