Every time you see a little padlock in your browser bar, you're using crypto.
First, click on the little padlock icon on the top right.
Most people will recognise this secure connection as the little padlock symbol in the top left-hand corner of the web browser.
Remember that little padlock you saw when you typed in a credit card number or personal information when making a purchase online?
One way is to look for a little padlock icon next to the website address on any page where you can type in sensitive information, including credit card numbers.
You can take steps to protect yourself: * If you see the little padlock in the corner of your Web-browser window (or if the Web address begins with "https://" instead of "http://"), you're connected to a secure Web site.
