Some authors have shown that the CLT1 and CLT2 peptides can specifically bind to fibrin-fibronectin complexes in the ECM of different tumors with little binding to normal tissues, suggesting that CLT peptides may bind to an epitope in the fibrin-fibronectin complex formed as a result of plasma clotting within tumors and at sites of tissue injury [ 60].
The P-EIM impedance responses show clearly that the presence of Mg2+ is critical for imatinib to bind to Abl1, because imatinib shows little binding in the magnesium-free control buffer.
