Now comes a new reason for Haworth to cheer: In one of the largest patent-litigation judgments in U.S. history, Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Steelcase was ordered last month to pay Haworth $211.5 million for infringing on Haworth's patent for prewired office panels.
The ensuing litigation resulted in a judgment entered for Bovard against the Bar 2008 Presidential Committee, Inc., in the full amount of $47,000.00.
"Judgments about litigation are made at the end," said Richard Feinstein, director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition.
