Ninety-four percent of respondents felt that, in general, radiology reports were either 'informative and decisive' or provided 'a useful list of differentials'.
Concomitant disease elsewhere such as nodal or pulmonary involvement can be a useful clue to narrow down the list of differentials (Fig. 20) [9, 28].
Localizing orbital lesions to these specific compartments helps to simplify the diagnostic approach and narrow down the list of differentials [1].
The list of differentials for the multifocal pattern of presentation of hepatic lymphoma is long and includes disseminated granulomatous infections (tuberculosis and sarcoidosis), fungal microabscesses, septic emboli, and metastases.

Plain radiographs of the affected joint are often not helpful to establish the diagnosis but are advised as a baseline study for longitudinal follow-up and to help narrow the list of differentials or suggest alternative diagnoses, for example an underlying bone tumour or a fracture.
A positive diagnostic finding coupled with neuroimaging and neurological symptoms should place neuroschistosomiasis high on the list of differentials.
Neoplasms and other granulomatous disorders of the hypophysis (tuberculosis, syphilis, sarcoidosis and histiocytosis X) are also possibilities but would be lower on the list of differentials in the absence of appropriate clinical and laboratory evidence.
In order to further explore the apoptotic signatures in this data, the University of Michigan list of apoptosis regulators [ 15] was used to identify other potentially interesting apoptosis-associated genes in the list of differentials.
In addition, there are most likely other genes in the lists of differentials that will be influencing the progression of apoptosis, but have not yet been recognised as being involved with the regulation of cell death.
The lists of differential proteins were input into these platforms for identification of Subcellular localization and biological functional distribution.
