In conclusion, this study has developed a set of face and content validated indicators of medication-related potentially preventable hospitalisations specific for the Australian healthcare setting, linking medication use with suboptimal processes of care resulting in adverse outcomes of hospitalisations.
Recent large-scale studies based on medical records have linked antidepressant medication use with type 2 diabetes, raising the concern that persistent use of antidepressants might increase the risk of diabetes (3 10).
