The objective of the design is to have the link ratios so that it can allow the user better movement control of the mechanism and thus give a better force amplification when there is a sudden change in the contact reaction force with the application environment.
The influence of T3 on the cross-linking process was demonstrated by measuring collagen cross-links ratio by FTIR.
In contrast, the trabecular bone pattern factor (TBPf), the structure model index (SMI), the enzymatic cross-link ratio, and the levels of pentosidine and whole AGEs in BZA-treated groups were significantly lower than those in the OVX control group.
Raman spectroscopy provides information on bone chemical composition and structure via widely used metrics including mineral to matrix ratio, mineral crystallinity and carbonate content, collagen cross-linking ratio and depolarization ratios.
Finally, maximum energy to failure correlates well with biochemically determined Pyd/divalent collagen cross-link ratio, Ct.Th, and periosteal Pyd/divalent collagen cross-link ratio.
The calculated PYD/divalent cross-link ratio was dependent on both animal age and treatment (Table 2).
It is also in the same anatomical areas that the spectroscopically determined collagen cross-link ratio (Pyd/divalent) was altered.
The collagen cross-link ratio was increased in T3 treated cultures and showed a dose-dependent effect, which reached significance at 10−7 M (Fig. 3).
The spectroscopically determined PYD/divalent collagen cross-link ratio of primary mineralized trabecular bone correlated well with maximum force to failure and stiffness.
In summary, the results of the present study show the good correspondence between biochemically and spectroscopically determined pyd/divalent collagen cross-link ratio.
