Various analysis routines specific for Dynasonde applications perform inversions of measured parameters (range, angles of arrival, polarization, line-of-sight Doppler speed, amplitude) of the echoes to retrieve a number of ionospheric parameters (vertical profile of the plasma density, vector velocities of the plasma structures, spectra of small-scale irregularities, etc).
