Even for those who have health insurance, women are more likely than men to have health coverage that has too many gaps, including large co-pays, life-time limits, and exclusions or limitations in needed services like mental health care or prescription drugs.
This approach should include comprehensive assessment and treatment of physical, neurocognitive and mental health impairments, uncertainty (or worrying about the future), functional activity limitations and social exclusion while considering the intersections between personal and social attributes and the broader determinants of health.
