No limitations of procedure or protocol were observed during the conduct of this study.
This is in part due to technical limitations of procedures such as in vivo ChIP assay which traditionally requires a large amount of starting material from the embryonic testis.
However a limitation of this procedure is the lack of cell specificity in gene expression that is associated with the use of endogenous retroviral promoters.
It is a limitation of this procedure that this maximization may not converge for small sets of integers because the convergence relies on the quadratic approximation penalized log likelihood (see Appendix and the ICCG method).
