SOCHAUX, France (AP) -- The American forward Charlie Davies hopes to resume training with Sochaux of France's Ligue 1 by late March and play in matches next month.
Just like last week, neither (Gourcuff-less) Bordeaux nor Marseille could take advantage of Lyon's latest slip, as they drew away to Sochaux and Toulouse respectively.
He played there for Sochaux and Nîmes, and has coached Istres, Grenoble and Sochaux.
Marseille was held, 2-2, at home by Sochaux.
But Perisic did not play for Sochaux, either.
"He was still at Sochaux then, and absolutely schooled me.
In France, Davies had grown frustrated, relegated to Sochaux's reserve team.
"We want to stop the closure of Aulnay," said Bruno Lemerle, 55, a CGT leader at Sochaux.
He had two goals in six appearances with Sochaux before the accident.
The move could still happen, as Sochaux has been adamant about its interest in Edu.
Her signing of Famara Diédhiou, who had been going nowhere at Sochaux, proved a masterstroke.
