Our hypothesis on longevity regulation by bile acids and rapamycin within ecosystems complements the "xenohormesis" hypothesis, in which plants and other autotrophic organisms respond to various environmental stresses (i.e., UV light, dehydration, infection, predation, cellular damage and nutrient deprivation) by synthesizing a compendium of secondary metabolites [ 32- 34].
The supplement was vortexed to homogenize and added, in the proportion 10 ml/l of final media, to melted Chromagar orientation cooled at 45/50 °C and stirred to make Chromagar KPC that was finally poured into Petri dishes, cooled and stored in the refrigeration (2/8 °C) with protection from light and dehydration.
