In just under three years, Sasa communities were less accepting of violence, reported approximately half the level of physical partner abuse and half the level of multiple sexual partnerships among men.
The evolution of physical partner violence was statistically significantly (P = 0.043) stronger than the evolution in physical non-partner violence.
Higher socioeconomic status is generally associated with lower levels of physical and/or sexual partner violence.
It demonstrated a 55% reduction in levels of physical and sexual intimate partner violence, as well as reductions in levels of household poverty and improved HIV communication [ 15, 16].

The levels of physical violence by non-partners were very similar between the sexes over their lifetime (27.7% women, 29.9% men), and in the 12 months following the peace agreement (3% women, 3.6% men).
The reported levels of physical and/or SV by non-partners were very similar between men and women, with 27.7% of women and 29.9% of men reporting violence by a non-partner since age 15, and 3%and3.6%6% of men and women, respectively, reporting abuse in the past year.
This included forced sex, forced abortions, partner control over contraceptive use, and significant levels of physical violence during pregnancy.
The high levels of physical activity reported by patients have been corroborated by their spouses, partners, or parents [ 13].
