Lifetimes of luminescent levels of incorporated holmium and ytterbium ions and the Yb3+ − Ho3+ energy transfer efficiency were determined based on analysis of recorded luminescence decay curves.
Mortars with IOT showed increased bulk density, reduced levels of incorporated air, an increment in the amount of mixing water, and improved mechanical properties when compared with conventional ones.
