In several previous studies in the cost model, only the queue length of nodes has been used to find the next forwarder [19,20].
In the method, we use linear-prediction to estimate the queue length of nodes, and propose a dynamic accepting probability function for nodes to decide whether accept or reject the incoming packets.
The idea in [13] is somewhat similar to our work in this paper in terms of using artificially increasing the length of nodes' queue lengths when calculating link weights.
We also calculated degree, clustering coefficient and average shortest path length of nodes.
We also looked more closely into the features of myelinated fibres firstly by evaluating the length of nodes of Ranvier in the subepidermal plexus [mean (SD) of 21.2 (7.9), range 15 53 nodes per participant].
The new method to optimally arrange every KEGG/BiGG pathway G = (V, E) (represented by an undirected, unweighted network or graph G with nodes V and edges E) into a compact 2D lattice grid computes an embedding of G into the lattice grid with the minimum possible total Manhattan distance (edge length) of nodes (metabolic reactions or signaling proteins) that are adjacent in G.

The corresponding 'up'-messages to the parent of node i is simply (17) m ↑ i = τ (1 − e − b i / τ ) + e − b i / τ ∑ j m ↑ i j where b i is the branch length of node i and the sum runs over the children i j of node i.
To assign relative transmission opportunity, several metrics such as distance from the sink to the node, queue length of children node, and node's slot usage history are used.
