The median LEMS increased significantly for both the stimulated and nonstimulated leg (from 8 to 11 in the FES-assisted leg, from 15 to 18 in the nonassisted leg, p <.005 for each).
These data are summarized in table 3. The stimulation of two territories in the same dermatome (S1) - one distal at the level of the foot (d) and the other proximal at the level of the leg (p) - allowed the calculation of the conduction velocities of the fibers responsible for the responses.
CGRP-positive intraepidermal fibers showed a slight non-length-dependent reduction (Table 2, Online Resource 1, distal leg p = 0.14, proximal leg p = 0.03, back p = 0.007).
The MVIC in the involved leg of the entire group was significantly lower than in the contralateral leg (P = 0.0001).
A similar, albeit much weaker trend could be seen also in the resting leg (p < 0.002, Fig. 6).
Similarly, step length increased in the operated (p < .001, η p 2 = 0.549) and non-operated leg (p < .001, η p 2 = 0.630) over time, but was not significantly different between training volumes (operated leg, p = .497; not operated leg, p = .559).559

During skin graft surgery, the wound bed was sprayed evenly with equal volumes (5 to 7 mL) of autologous PRP and autologous thrombin to form the platelet gel, and a split-thickness skin graft with multiple slits was put on the gel-covered bed, fixed with staples or cat-gut sutures, while a short leg P-P splint was used to immobilize the lower extremity.
Furthermore, NC-sows – especially multiparous ones – 'looked around' more often, also towards the piglet's nest site, before descending from standing to lying by 'kneeling on front legs' (P < 0.05).
In CHOW fed rats, 2DG uptake was significantly elevated in DGAT1 overexpressing TA muscle compared to their empty vector control legs (p = 0.036, figure 4B).
UCP3 protein levels were not significantly different between the HFD-DGAT1 overexpressing leg and both the CHOW-DGAT1 and CHOW-control legs (p = 0.88, CHOW-DGAT1 vs. CHOW-control leg, figure 5C).
Direct visual observation significantly reduced PLP in both legs (P < 0.05).
