In accordance with previous reports, a restricted set of 15 fronto-central leads constituted the topographical maximum (Figures 2A and 3) and was thus subjected to subsequent analysis (Fz, FCz, Cz, F2, FC2, C2, F4, FC4, C4, and left corresponding; c.f. [44]).
During early anaphase, the signal looked like a bright bar (Fig. 7A, left), corresponding to the nucleolus that is being segregated, since the nucleolus and nuclear membrane remain present throughout the trypanosome cell cycle.
The reason for not using six sample sites in the equation - but instead three levels (cranial, middle and caudal) each consisting of the right and left corresponding samples - was that we did not know if the inoculum was delivered to the right or left lung.
Figure 6 shows two small example networks built in this way, with the network on the left corresponding to a larger pi / pe ratio.
