TSP1 schedules tasks to execute at their earliest possible times, and TSP2 schedules tasks to execute at their latest possible times such that the tasks meet their respective sub-deadlines.
When the contention for resources is low (e.g., when s max is large), ED-SL-TSP2 can more readily schedule tasks to start executing at their latest possible start times since jobs are less prone to miss their deadlines and the Job Remapping algorithm does not need to be invoked as often.
