Several factors concerning NIP-information were extracted from the focus groups: evaluation of the received NIP information, perception of the language of the received information, information-seeking behavior, and information need of the participants.
The schools in which Kannada, the regional state language, was the language of instruction, received government support and charged an annual tuition fees of 250– 500 whereas English medium schools did not receive government support and charged an annual tuition fees of above 6000.
