In practice, it is difficult to measure accurately the wide variety of institutional features that can in reality have the effects illustrated by the model, and available data are neither as accurate nor as plentiful as to allow estimation of the long and likely variable lags with which expected and actual policies affect observable outcomes.
Apple's advantage when it comes to fragmentation issues mean less money spent on making sure software works across a range of different OS versions, and it's something Android still lags considerably with, which is apparent from the current Kit Kat uptake.
Conversely, shortening the lag-alone segment decreased the frequency with which saccades were lag-directed (Fig. 6c; subject C: P = 0.002, T: P = 0.015, S: P = 0.02).
The data demonstrate that lengthening the lag-alone segment increased the frequency with which saccades were lag-directed (Fig. 6B; subject C: P = 0.02, T: P = 0.01, S: P = 0.008; contingency table analysis).
One possible scenario is that the ratio with which saccades are lead- or lag-directed (Nlag/Nlead) is proportional to the ratio of the neural responses to the leading and lagging sources respectively (Rlag/Rlead).
For each emotion the comparison of the EBM between lags (i.e. Disgust Lag 2 vs. Disgust Lag 4) yielded significant differences (ps<.001) for all lag comparisons with the exception of lag 4 to lag 6 comparisons, which did not differ for disgust, erotic, or fear (p = .81; p = .23; p = .69; respectively).
