Participants were asked: "How important are each of the following in keeping you from participating regularly in physical activity?": lack of time; lack of energy (/too tired); lack of physical skills; lack of interest or motivation; feeling uncomfortable or ill at ease; long-term illness, disability, injury; fear of being injured; and costs.
In the multiple-visit group, additional sessions were required in the event of an abscess, retreatment, when there was lack of time, when the patient felt tired, or in cases of greater complexity.
