The lack of blastocyst cavity formation observed in our Sox2 RNAi embryos, as well as in the Tead4 −/− embryos [39], suggests a more severe phenotype than in Cdx2 −/− embryos, which gradually cavitate despite the absence of Cdx2 [38].
