A race produces very long chain fatty acid (or VLCFA -derived odd-carbon-numbered n-alkadiene and alkatriene, B race produces mainly botryococcenes (or triterpenoids), and L race produces lycopadiene (or tetraterpenoid) [ 13– 16].
