Toby Eckert, who left Millstadt, Illinois many moons ago for Washington D.C., chimes in with: I think [the Cardinals fans] characterize themselves as very loyal, very knowledgeable about the game overall and appreciative of the game, and good sports.
"There is probably nobody more knowledgeable in the game and in the business of the game on the ownership level," said Gary Bettman, the N.H.L. commissioner.
"He's knowledgeable about the game.
"They are knowledgeable about the game, but have no attention to detail," he said.
He was a big guy, really knowledgeable about the game, really knew the rules, and he really loved umpiring".
"He's a proper football man, and probably one of the most knowledgeable about the game that there is around and helped to develop people like Matt Jarvis and Michael Kightly".
"A lot of the fans weren't quite knowledgeable about the game; they would make comments like, 'What time is the match today?' " Dawson said.
"He's very knowledgeable about the game and I know even though he's slightly older than me he will still want to learn and do well here.
While I agree that Ryan Howard is not necessarily an elite hitter, I don't see how anyone who is knowledgeable about the game can deny that he is an elite baseball player.
"He was very knowledgeable about the game and knew a lot about myself and it was great that he took time out to call me, as he is going to Australia on tour".
