Google has made some changes, such as its "knowledge panels" that appear on the right-hand side of its search results screen when a film or song is searched for, with links to legal services to access it.
In Search, you'll now find Knowledge Panels with information directly from the teams, like highlights, photos or GIFs, for NHL, NBA as well as MLB teams.
The company today launched a new feature called "See What's In Store," which will let physical stores provide a list of their inventory for free both in their Knowledge Panels (the boxes that appear in the right-hand column in the search results for a particular business) as well as on Google Maps.
Google's "knowledge panels" are automatically populated from a variety of sources, including Wikipedia.
Our tests with Google's knowledge panels made us forget that we were searching with a "browser".

If you are an artist whose name does not trigger a Knowledge Panel, though, you are not famous enough and you're out of luck.
By making signing up this easy, Google is probably laying the groundwork for opening up this feature to virtually everybody whose name triggers a Knowledge Panel.

In addition, advertisers who use local inventory ads will now see their inventory searchable on Google.com in the local Knowledge Panel – this is the box that pops up with other information, like store hours and directions.
