The nature of the skin says not: it's newborn-pale, erection-tender stuff, every thought visible – pure knowledge, mind in action – shining through the skull.
Until that time, of course, language had provided certain topics of philosophical speculation such as meaning, understanding, reference, and truth but these topics had been treated as largely independent of others that were unrelated (or not directly related) to language such as knowledge, mind, substance, and time.
The assumption that knowledge, mind and memory are not just individual, but distributed across persons and artefacts, is one of the key points of socio-cultural models: Knowledge is permanently negotiated by members of the team and common knowledge is more than the sum of individual recollections [ 43].

A section of the show is dedicated to him, or rather to a concept he embodied, one absolutely central to Asian culture: the idea of lineage, the transmission of forms and knowledge from mind to mind.
It was partly a question, for both, of factual knowledge: the minds of both were well-stocked in a way few people's minds would be today.
What's hard is fitting our knowledge of minds into the physical world.
In a lovely poem about watching a bald female cleaner going about her work, she imagines "every thought visible – pure knowledge, / mind in action – shining through the skull".
Viewed with that knowledge in mind it's a wonder she seems so fresh-faced and youthful.
With that knowledge in mind, we can be more respectful of the diversity of relationships that all our patients, gay and straight, hold dear.
